JACK HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!! 💗

Jack is a very large handsome boy! He is super lovable and gets along well with other cats. He was part of a TNR program we did in the fall of 2021. He later returned to our rescue and just made a home on the back porch.

A volunteer from a rescue that had since closed, told us that Jack looked like a kitten they adopted out.  The photo they sent is the last image in his portfolio here.  He was never neutered or chipped as promised by the new owner, to this rescue.  We also found out his owner may have passed and he was left outside.  We have taken over his medical care and hope to find him a safe place to call home.

We have been working with him to see if he can adapt to indoor life. So far so good! He is using his litter and usually wants out once or twice a day but, loves being inside as well.

Jack has been neutered, vaccinated, and tested for FELUK/ FIV. Unfortunately, he did test positive for FIV. This is not a death sentence but, he will have a compromised immune system.

Many FIV cats can live a long life. As long as there is no biting and fighting among other cats, transmission is unlikely.

Since he is all white, he really needs to be indoors. His risk of cancer on the ears, nose, and eyes can be a concern.
